Amazing water surface, almost like a thin sheet of ice covering it, what a gorgeous scenery. Those cliff looks like some ancient city.
Thank you heaps for such a very cool comment. It is one of my favourite beaches - so thank you
That's a beach? I thought it's a lake , the water is so calm there.
That is a beach. The "Fly by" photo shows the rest of the mountainscape to the right and the beach to the left. The sand is black sand so the ocean coming in and out and gives a reflective quality to the sand and obviously a bit of depth. The ocean is extremely rough and wild, great waves, especially if you surf
I haven't come across black sand before , thank you for the explanation, still amazed by the whole scenery. Guess there are plenty of surfers there
Very interesting erosion going on here. Lots of history...
Well spotted! Yes, the wind. The rain and the sea air have made for some interesting changes.
These rocks are largely loose dirt, pressed tight by gravity and humidity. As the planet warms, expect places like this to undergo speedier erosion, although this coast looks quite old in human terms... Where in New Zealand is this?
This is my favourite beach - Karioitahi Beach which is just out of Waiuku. This particular mountain is a favourite with Hang gliders and para gliders. There are surrounding mountains/hills and is mostly farmland surrounding it. You enter the beach with the surrounding hills, it is an amazing sight to come across
Gorgeous Photography !!!
Very kind of you - thank you
Gintautegitte!!! Hello!!! and thank you
Such amazing clarity - excellent reflection shot!
Does the reflection of the mountain count as its "selfie"? .
a beautiful image !
